Volunteer Renovation Project
Glen Farm - Portsmouth, RI

Photos of ongoing work, cleanup and construction.

Through Fall 2009 - The "ell" section of the house was cleaned up along with the corner area, prepped and painted. A reconstructed well house was built and donated in honor of Paul Chappell. The well house was constructed paying attention to the look and materials of the original. The plaque reads "A True Son of Portsmouth, Paul M. Chappell, 1928 - 2000, He lived well, laughed often and loved much".

Fall 2006 - With the extensive damage to the south wall repaired and new clapboards put on, the finish work began. Windows that had been repaired were reinstalled in the front of the house and in the upper floor on the ell section. Campion Painting did a wonderful job of prepping, priming and painting the south wall, front sw corner and a good start on the back main part of the house.
