The 2008 Summer Season is based at Sandy Point Beach with instruction to be provided in Optimist Dinghies for 7-11 year old children. Last year, over 150 kids participated in our second season and we are preparing for an even more successful third season. One week (5 day) sessions begin on June 23 with new classes beginning each of the next 8 weeks.
REGISTRATION
Residential On-line registration opens March 19. Students can register for any number of weeks – from a single week to four weeks- but you are expected to participate in any week for which you register. Also, we ask that you register for the weeks in order of preference. Based on demand, PYS has the right to limit the number of weeks of participation.
You will be notified of your placement in the program by April 1 and will be given fourteen days from your notification to make the payment to reserve that spot. Failure to make payment on time will result in a loss of the spot.
Non-resident Registration for any available classes will open April 21.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations made before June 1, 2008 will incur a processing fee of $25 per camper, with balance refunded.
Cancellations after June 1, 2008 will incur a $25 fee, with balance refunded, if spot is filled.
If the spot is not filled, the entire amount is non-refundable.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Life jackets and boats will be provided. If you have your own US Coast Guard approved life jacket, feel free to bring it. Other items (proper clothing, drinking water, sun-block, etc.) are the responsibility of individual participants. Students must take a short swim test prior to sailing alone in boats. Additional information will be made available prior to the start of each session.
