Registration ProcedureThe registration deadline for Saint Barnabas Church parishioners was September 30th, 2007. Most team rosters are currently full. However, as of November 1st, we have a few openings for boys between 7th and 10th grade. Up until the roster addition deadline on January 1st, registrations will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Potential players are encouraged to register online if they wish to be on the waiting list (no payment required unless a roster opening occurs). Catholic players, other than Saint Barnabas members, are eligible for consideration up to November 15th if they reside on Aquidneck Island. Potential players who are not Catholic must reside in Portsmouth. Discretion is given to the coaches regarding the number of players each team is carrying. All potential players, as of October 1st, 2007, are urged to call John O'Gara at 683-3108 prior to registering. All Saint Barnabas and other Catholic players must be registered and active participants in their parish Religious Education Program. Registration and attendance will be verified. All players must memorize the 'Our Father', the league prayer that is recited at mid-court by both teams prior to each game. Parental Code of Conduct Document 3) A parent must download and complete the release form prior to a player being allowed to participate in practice and games. Please mail this form with your check or submit it to the Coordinator, Parish Office, orCoach (no later than beginning of 1st practice). Release Form 4) All players and coaches are required to pray the 'Our Father' at center court prior to tipoff. Please memorize this most important prayer. 5) The registration form must be completed for all players. Please do not send a check if the registration is for a new player who is not a Saint Barnabas Parishioner. You will be notified if we can accomodate your desire to participate. Make checks for $85 per player payable to 'Saint Barnabas Church' and please note on the check that it is for basketball. Please mail the check and release form to C.A.L.
